The DAWN Program



Program Description
DAWN offers a 12 week intensive day treatment service to assist removing substance abuse as a barrier to employment for female temporary assistance to needy family recipients. This includes: enhancement of career potential, promoting independence, opportunities for employment and alcohol and drug treatment. DAWN is broken down into three phases: Phase 1 consist of 25 hours of intensive substance abuse treatment five days a week for eight weeks. Phase 2 consist of 10 hours of substance abuse treatment for two consecutive days a week for 90 days. Phase 3 consist of continued employment, in addition to ongoing outreach, and after services for up to one year.

 

Target Population

  • Pregnant/Post Partum Women who receive TANF
  • Women who have open CPS or DFCS cases
  • Women who have children and substance abuse, domestic violence, trauma issues

When/Where are Services Provided
Services are provided at Battle Creek Monday thru Friday 8:30am – 1:00pm

To help women who are battling the disease of addiction reunite with their children and to help reduce substance abuse as a barrier to employment.
